Resource Management Model of FMS Simulation System Based on COM

Data integration and communion problems under flexible manufacturing system (FMS) simulation enviroment are expounded. A distributed resource management model is brought forth, based on component object model (COM). After analyzing the relations between resource database and each module, a resource data management system is developed, based on the ORACLE database and this model. The FMS simulation system is built up by the popular COM technology. This brings out the strong points of distributed resource management used in a FMS simulation system, such as its low cost, easy correspondence and maintainance.
