Study and Implementation of the Algorithm for Adaptive Active Noise Control

The FLMS algorithm is widely used in adaptive active noise control (AANC). Considering its low convergence speed, an improved FLMS algorithm with faster convergence speed--FTLMS algorithm is presented. Theoretical analysis shows that the FTLMS algorithm has less amount of calculations and fast convergence and can adapt to different kinds of noise environments. Results of experiments verify that the FTLMS algorithm is superior to the FLMS algorithm, while the AL (attenuation level) of the AANC system is increased.
