Numerical Simulation of Air Flow in Engine Inlet Port and Resistance Characteristics Analysis

  • ALE algorithm is used to simulate air flow and the resistance characteristics in an engine inlet port. The simulation pictures the process of air flow through the engine inlet port. For two typical inlet ports, the simulation pictures the relationships of local resistance factor with the opening of inlet port and the initial condition. Compared with traditional design data, the results of simulation are dependable on the whole.
