A Research on Data-Process Interplayed Model for Product Data Dynamic Management

Based on the analysis of the nature of design process, DPIM (data and process interplayed model), which can effectively describe dynamic relations between the design data and the design process, is established. By using this model, the definition and the execution of design process can adapt to the changing data requirements. and the design data can be produced and perfected within the design process. As a result, the design data and the design process can be managed in an integrated way. Since the data and the process change in an interplayed manner, this model can better reflect the dynamic nature of the product design process.
