Edge Detection from 3D Meshes with Brightness Property
Discusses an effective edge detection method from 3D meshes with brightness property, being able to extract one thread edges for subsequent model based recognition as well as other post processing tasks. By using the Canny edge detection method, non maxima suppression is introduced into 3D model to realize the accurate edge detection from meshes. The proposed method can be applied to vision based 3D modeling and object recognition.
