Application of Emission Spectrum Technology with Optical Fiber in the Measurement of Detonation Temperature of Explosives

  • Temporal response in the emission spectrum of detonation processes and the measurement of detonation temperature is studied. With an optical fiber implanted in the explosive, optical signals are collected by PIN fast response detector and input into the oscilloscope for analysis. Optical signals are then collected by OMA and fitted with the Planck blackbody fomula to obtain the detonation temperature. The use of optical fiber and OMA system in the collection of optical signals obviates complex steps in synchronization and the limitations of conventional methods are overcome.
