A Model of Statistical Damage Evolution of Ductile Materials

Through proper simplification of the process of micro void nucleation and growth, a controlling equation of micro void evolution was established, and the analytical expression of numeric density and damage evolution were provided. On the basis of the above results, the influence of void nucleation and growth on the damage evolution were discussed and analyzed, and then, an elementary model combining the theories of statistical damage and continuum damage was proposed.
