Analysis of Phenol and Cresol Isomers Using Capillary Column Gas Chromatography

To develop a method foranalysis of phenol and cresol isomers using capillary column gas chromatography, theseparation behavior of capillary columns coated with β-CD derivatives was studied. Theresults showed that 2,6-di-O-pentyl-3-O-allyl-β-CD was an excellent gas chromatographicstationary phase to separate and determine phenol and cresol isomers. This method withgood precision had been applied in practice.
