Preparation of Alkyl Bis(1,1 Dimethyl 2 Propargyl)amines and 1,8 Dipropynylnaphthalene

Aim To study the preparation of alkyl bis(1,1 dimethyl 2 propargyl) amines and 1,8 dipropynylnaphthalene. Methods Highly branched diacetylenic amines were prepared by coupling propargylamine with propargyl chloride, methylation on amine and terminally alkyl substitution. a convenient synthesis of 1,8 propynylnaphalene in 8 steps starting from naphthalic anhydride via Wittig reaction were also made. Results Preparation of alkyl bis(1,1 dimethyl 2 propargyl) amines was established, and preparation of 1,8 propynylnaphalene was improved. Conclusion These methods are available to the syntheses of natural products, drugs and synthetic materials containing propargyl amine.
