Optical Transfer Function for Discrete Imaging Systems

The existence conditions of transfer function for discrete imagingsystems including photoelement sensor array are analyzed and the aliasingphenomenon due to insufficient number of samples is studied. In the light of thecharacteristics of photoelement sensor array, the concept of average discrete pointspread function is proposed. By combining above factors, a theory of statisticaltransfer function for discrete imaging systems is set up.
