Selection of Reference Model in Model Reference Adaptive Control

The influences of reference model on the transient response in adaptive control for a pump controlled motor electrohydraulic servo system with large time-varying load is studied. Theoretical simulation results and further experiments prove that the system performs satisfactorily by use of the suggestted reference model when the load varies over ten times. Some other measures for improving dynamic performances are also set forth.
