Abstract

Experimental and numerical studies were carried out on thespontaneous ignition of methanol. The ignition delay and temperature curveswere measured with a rapid compression machine. The ignition process issimulated with a kinetic scheme in a quasi-adiabitic model. The role ofditertiary butyl peroxide as an additive was analyzed.
