Functional Simulation Modeling With Applications to the Management Processes: A Case Study

Functional simulation method has broad prospects in its applications to managerial decision-making processes.Its technical neture and flexibility befits itself to the analysis of managerial problems having strongly non-structured factors.Taking the well-known volleyball game as a case of this study, the main ideas and ways of functional simulation and modeling are investigated. The real situation of the game to be modeled is briefly introduced. Mapping from homomorphism to isomorphism,transference from informal to formal description, simplification and coordination inthe modeling and simulation processes are discussed. A computer program for the simulation processes is developed and executed to verify the ideas presented.
