Transient Characteristics of Torque Converters in Vehicles During the Locking-up Process

  • Taking a power-hydrodynamic transmission system as a spring-mass system having multi-degrees of freedom, a dynamic model and mathematical model have been established for the vehicle power-train equipped with a torque converter having lock-up functions. Simulated calculations for the system are carried out in the process of locking-up. Factors affecting the transient load of power-train system are analyzed.
