Loss Analysis of a GTR Inverter''''s Snubber Circuit

The snubber circuit is a key element in an inverter.This paper analyses the switching and current-exchanging processes of the inverter with an improved Jung's Snubber-Circuit.Through calculation,it is shown that the loss of this circuit is much less than that of an ordinary RCD snubber circuit and proves that the circuit is ideal for such applications.The paper also gives some experimental results to verify the advantage of low loss with this circuit.
