Stability of Pulse Width Modulation Fluid Power Position Servo Systems

Abstract
The specialty of PWM fluid power position control systems consisting of a natural sampling, bi-edge modulated pulse width modulator is pointed out, based on an analysis of the modulator. A necessary condition for stabilization is then proposed. Experiments for its verification were carried out on a high pressure pneumatic servo system made up of a three-port on-off valve and a differential cylinder.
