Abstract
A video automatic surveillance alarm apparatus has been developed, based on the digital image matching principle, possessing the ability to detect moving tsrget' s in a stationary scene. A thin frame memory is designed so that the requirement for both the memory volume and speed of the frame memory can be relaxed. It has a digital double threshold, so that the false alarm probability can be lowered to a value close to zero.
