A Theoretical Study on Rain Impact Insensitization Device for Fuzes

  • The problem of fuze early burst caused by rain impact is studied and rain impacts on insenatization devices (or fuze head) of all forms when confronting a rainfield are discussed. The principle and process of rain impact on the fuze head are also described. Finite element method is applied in the analysis of raindrop and fuze nose impacts. The method can be used to the analysis of raindrop impacts whether with normal or inclined incidence to a plane or to curved surfaces.
