Abstract
Photoinduced anisotropic material, having induced anisotropy when exposed to polarized light, is used as a polarization holographic recording material. Its properties (diffraction efficiency, polarization state of the reconstructing wave, exposure characteristics of the planar holographic grating) are discussed, using Jones vectors for two types of polarization modulation-recording with two orthogonal linear polarized waves, and recording with two orthogonal circular polarized waves.
