An Investigation on the Properties of a New Kind of Azo -Dye-Gelatin Recording Material with Photo - Induced Birefringence

The properies of an azo - dye - gelatin for use as polarization holographic recording media is investigated .Besides the characteristics of real time recording and reversibility , it possesses the properties of high diffraction efficiency , long-storage time and comparatively lower threshold laser power in the recording process . The results are studied in some detail .
