Fundamental Frequency of Transverse Vibration of Honeycomb Cylindrical Shells With Cutouts and Simply- Supported at Both Ends

  • An approximate analytical formula is proposed for calculating the fundamental frequency of the transverse vibration of honeycomb cylindrical shells with cutouts and simply - supported at both ends in this paper . The formula can also be used for calculating the fundamental frequency of transverse vibration of honeycomb truncated conical shells with cutouts and simply - supported at both ends using the concept of equivalent cylinder . The experimental result supports the theoretical analysis .
