Digital Image Processing Applied to the Automatic Inspection of Defects in Charges

Studied methods of automatic inspection of defects in the radiogaphs of charges using digital image processing techniques . The processing methods that enhance the image of defective areas in the radiographs , such as charge region fixation , image substraction , image filtration , image trinization , are presented . Features of the defects are extrated by means of the edge tracing method . The tree - classifier is designed to recoginize and classify the defects in the charge . Experimental results are presented .
