Abstract
Presents a series of new concepts and design ideas about the fuze safety system and aims at establishing a proposed theory and mathematical descriptions . The basic theory includes the propositions : that the fuze safety system is an open system composed of some safety elements each of which can independently affect the system 's state ; that the arming process is a dynamic one in which the safety level of the system .is only gradually changed ; and that the fundamental function of the safety system is a control of the timing , velocity , pattern and tendency of the changes in the system 's state . The mathematical descriptions include : the safety factors , safety sensitive factors , safety function , arming function , interruption factors , interruption sensitive factors , interruption function , detonable function, critical arming grade , and armed process duration , etc .. The above theory and method have been applied in analysing the arming processes of fuze safety systems .
