Abstract:
An experimental system was constructed to test the electromagnetic interference on communication circuit when 2A12 aluminum projectile with hypervelocity impacts 2A12 aluminum target. The disc magnetic coil was used to test the electromagnetic field generated by impact. The degree of interference on communication circuits, which was placed at different points parallel to the direction of upper trajectory, was experimentally obtained when the impact velocity was 5.93 km/s. The result indicates that the electromagnetic field generated by hypervelocity impact interferes seriously to the communication circuits. The amplitude of interference voltage could reach to 1 V.
