Abstract:
The paper introduced working principle of a novel single current fed topology of half-bridge thyristor inverter for high-power induction heating and melting application by mathematical analysis. The analytical solutions of varieties of electrical parameters in fourth-order transient equations were presented. On this basis, waveform of inverter at steady status was obtained by numerical iteration. By comparing low-power experimental results on the 2000kW device and calculation results, the correctness of calculation was verified. The theoretical guidance on the research of current-fed half-bridge induction convertor is significant.
