α-氯代甲苯/四水合氯化亚铁/三苯基膦引发苯乙烯“活性”/可控自由基聚合

Living"/Controlled Radical Polymerization of Styrene Catalyzed by Benzyl Chloride/Iron Dichloride Tetrahydrate/Triphenyl Phosphine

  • 摘要: 以 α-氯代甲苯 (C6 H5CH2 Cl) /四水合氯化亚铁 (Fe Cl2 · 4 H2 O) /三苯基膦 (PPh3)为引发体系, 在 12 0℃下引发苯乙烯进行原子转移自由基“活性”/可控聚合反应 (ATRP). 结果表明 :只有当 n(Fe) / n(P) =1∶ 3时, 聚合产物数均分子质量 (Mn)与转化率才呈现一定的线性关系, 聚合反应机理表现为 ATRP.对于其它 n(Fe) / n(P) (如 1∶ 2和 1∶ 4 ), 产物的 Mn 与转化率不呈线性关系, 表明在聚合反应过程中存在多

     

    Abstract: Living"/controlled radical polymerization of styrene initiated by benzyl chloride has been achieved by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) catalyzed by iron dichloride tetrahydrate triphenyl phosphine complexes at 120 ℃. When n (Fe) to n (P) is 1∶3, the polymer number average molecular weight ( M n) increases linearly with monomer conversion. If n (Fe) to n (P) is 1∶2 or 1∶4, the linear relation of M n to conversion does not exist, indicating that there exist many active centers in the polymerization.
