Abstract: Aim To study algorithms of maneuvering target tracking. Methods Generalized likelihood technology was used for reliability and real time to detect maneuvers. A new tracking algorithm was developed through combining the variable dimension with the state noise covariance estimation method. The state noise covariance estimation method was used to avoid transient error when maneuver is smaller. Results and Conclusion Computer simulation shows the algorithm has better tracking performance.
