The Third-Order Optical Nonlinearity of 3-Methyl-4-Methoxy-4''''-Nitrostilbene

  • 摘要: 在四氢呋喃溶液中测量了3-甲基-4-甲氧基-4’-硝基二苯乙烯(MMONS)的三阶非线性光学效应.发现其在1.06μm处具有较大的非共振二阶非线性光学超极化率,并据此计算了其晶体的三阶非线性光学系数,χ(3)=2.52nm2/V2,与著名的PIS同数量级.非线性光学响应时间小于50ps,表明MMONS的非线性光学效应是由于分子中π-电子的极化引起的.此结果表明MMONS可能成为有价值的非线性光学材料.
