Punctured Convolutional Coding Combined with MPSK Modulation

  • 摘要: 格型编码调制TCM把卷积编码和PSK或QAM调制相结合,在功率有限和带宽有限的信道中能够获得较大的编码增益,中提出了一种将删除型卷积码和MPSK调制结合的方法,使译码的复杂度降低,并在计算机上对具有最大欧几里德距离,信息率r为2/3的删除只编码调制的好码进行了搜索。

     

    Abstract: Trellis coded modulation (TCM) combines the convolutional coding with PSK or QAM modulation to provide large coding gain in a power-limited o rbandwidth-limited. In this paper is presented a combined punctured convolutional coding and MPSK modulation scheme. Best punctured convolutional codes that have the maximum Euclidean distance are searched for rate 2/3. The results show that punctured convolutional codes with the maximum free distance cannot give the maximum coding gain when compared with an encoded system for the same rate;the good codes derived can have the same coding gain as the Ungerboeck's codes. With the punctired structure the decoding complexity can be significantly simplified.
