Abstract:
Beginning with basic principles, the paper aims at the establishment ofmathematical models for the stabbing process, namely for its mechanics, stabbingvelocity and power of stabbing during the stabbing processes for two types of stabpins having sharp and flat tips respectively, and deduces their analytical solutions.The first model involves parameters of explosive yield stress, frictional coefficient,stab pin dimensions and stab depth. The velocity models and stab power modelsinvolve in addition the parameters of stab pin mass and initial velocity.
