Abstract: Eltctro-rheological technique is a newly developing future technology, and it has widely prospect fo application in engineering. The basic concept of ER technique, the prospect of it's application in engineering the composition and properties of ER fluid, some problems arising in engineering applications and tendency of recent research works.
