Abstract: Based on the concept of the "basic direction" ,the geometric constraint and loop equations, this work presents a new method for the position analysis of spatial mechanisms. As a result of the application of optimization techniques, in combination with iterative techniques in solving nonlinear equations, the proposed algorithm is reliable and efficient.
