Abstract: Recent developments in tandem mass spectrometry are reviewed. The developments in new scan types, instrument types and activation methods are included, with emphasis on MS / MS / MS scan modes, ion trap tandem mass spectrometer, surface induced dissociation and photodissociation techniques.
