Abstract:
A novel functional metamaterial electromagnetic invisible device called "cylindrical rotated concentrator", being able to rotate direction of electromagnetic wave, was proposed. Based on coordinate transformation theory, the corresponding space transformation of cylindrical rotated concentrator was designed. And the permittivity and permeability tensors of the device in different regions were deduced. Simulation results based on finite element method validate the expected electromagnetic functions of the device. Compared with the previous cylindrical metamaterial invisible concentrator, this rotated concentrator can not only concentrate the electromagnetic wave energy in particular region, but also transform the original direction of the wave in the same region. Besides, the design methods to develop the shapes of rotated concentrator were also analyzed.
