Abstract:
Using the PSM-DID, this paper regards the urban agglomeration as a quasi-natural experiment, and investigates the influence of urban agglomeration development on the price distortion of construction land. The results show that: (1) The urban agglomeration significantly alleviates the price distortion of construction land, and this conclusion has strong robustness. In addition, this alleviating effect also has hysteresis quality and spatial attenuation. (2) Urban agglomeration has greater alleviating effect on the price distortion of core cities and eastern cities. Therefore, in the context of the new normal economic development period, promoting the construction of urban agglomeration and regional economic integration will be an effective way to alleviate the construction land price distortion and thus boost the economy.
