省际R&D技术溢出对碳排放的影响

    The Impact of R&D Technology Spillover between China's Regions on Carbon Emissions

    • 摘要: CO2排放增多是全球变暖的主要原因,技术进步对碳减排的作用日益受到各方重视。基于地理经济距离构建省际技术溢出网络,将省际R&D直接技术溢出与用网络中心度度量的间接技术溢出引入碳排放影响因素分析的面板计量模型,利用2000—2013年中国29个省、市、自治区面板数据进行实证分析。结果表明:全国范围内,省际R&D直接溢出对碳排放有显著的抑制作用,间接效应不明显。分地区看,东、中部地区省际R&D直接溢出与碳排放显著负相关,西部地区不显著。省际R&D间接溢出可以显著减少中部地区碳排放,东部地区以接近中心度衡量的省际R&D间接溢出与碳排放显著正相关,西部地区以特征向量衡量的省际R&D间接技术溢出与碳排放显著正相关。

       

      Abstract: The increase of carbon dioxide emissions is the main reason for global warming; the effect of technology progress on carbon emission reduction has attracted more and more attention. Based on geographic economic distance, an interprovincial technology spillover network was constructed, and interprovincial R&D direct technology spillovers and indirect technology spillovers measured by network centrality were introduced into a panel econometric model for carbon emission factor analysis. The panel data of 29 provinces in China from 2000 to 2013 was used for empirical analysis. The results show that direct spillover of R&D across provinces has a significant inhibitory effect on carbon emissions but the indirect effect is not obvious. In different regions, the direct R&D technology spillovers of eastern and central provinces were negatively correlated with carbon emissions, while the spillovers of the western regions were not significant. Interprovincial R&D indirect technology spillover can significantly reduce carbon emissions in the central region; interprovincial R&D indirect technology spillover measured by proximity centrality in eastern regions is positively correlated with carbon emissions; interprovincial R&D indirect technology spillover measured by eigenvector in western regions is significantly positively correlated with carbon emissions.
