Abstract:
Based on the integration perspective of social identification and social exchange theory, this study builds the mediating effect model of benevolent leadership and employee creativity. Based on the questionnaires from Chinese employees and their leaders, our study draws some conclusions as follows. Firstly, employee identification with leader is a mediator between benevolent leadership and leader-member exchange. Secondly, leader-member exchange is a mediator between employee identification with leader and employee creativity. Finally, as two sequential mediators, employee identification with leader and leader-member exchange have indirect effects between benevolent leadership and employee creativity.
